Contest entry #1
Haley Terry

"My name is Haley Terry. I got married in 2010 to my forever love, in the dress I had always envisioned in my head. At the time, I was 15 pounds heavier than I would have liked to be. I then gained 10 pounds after marriage. I had been an athlete my entire life. I just rebelled against it because I had been at mandatory workouts my whole life, but continued eating the way I always had. About a year after we got married, I got fed up. Fed up with not feeling pretty, feeling overweight, and most of all not feeling healthy. I studied Weight watchers online and decided to do it on my own. Over the past year and a half I have lost over twenty pounds. I then got the courage to chop all my hair off and dye it fire engine red. I have learned how to be healthy. More than that, I found a confidence in myself I never had. Not even in high school. I found a lady who likes who she is. I found a whole new sense of style. I got a little more edgy. I just found me. I have wanted to do a trash the dress since before I was married. I don’t have any set ideas. I would like a bit of edgy class(I think I might have made that up). I would prefer not something that would absolutely destroy it(like paint). Love the water ones. And the fire ones are so pretty. I love the forest ones surrounded in greenery. I am sure Amanda will have some super ideas."

"I’ve been dreaming of doing “Trash the dress” for a very long time now. I want to trash my wedding dress for many reasons, but mainly because it’s a dress that I should have never purchased to begin with. Doing “trash the dress” would allow me to have professional pictures done since that wasn’t an option on my wedding day. I could have sold my dress, but I would really hate for it to bring as much bad luck and misery to anyone as it has brought me. Instead, I’d rather trash this dress so it never has the potential to terrorize anyone else. I’d finally get my money’s worth out of it and have your professional portraits to prove it. I’d love to trash it in the mud, creek, possibly a scrap yard, mechanic shop or anywhere outdoors. I’m just ready to have my day in my dress, but I’m also open to your ideas."

"My name is Danielle McGuire and married my best friend on may 5, 2012. Our wedding was small bust everyone there down to the photographer was very special to us. We have two toddlers and we made sure they were also stars on our big day. If I win this shoot I want to trash my dress with paint and I want my babies to do it with me. it would be one giant ball of fun for all of us!"

Danielle Allen

"Hi, my name is Danielle and I want to TRASH MY DRESS! I love "out there" photo shoots and I think this would be a great opportunity for me to experience something like that. I wore this dress in my cousin's wedding in November 2009 and I have since LOST 50lbs! (YaY ME! haha.) Even though I had a great time spending that special day with her, I want to TRASH MY DRESS to celebrate those 50lbs GONE! :) Side Note: I now have to have 2 clips to make the dress stay on! haha.
In my "vision" I want to go Country, the more mud the better!! I am up for anything whether that be swinging from tree limbs to making mud pies! :) I am FULL OF PERSONALITY and I promise you will have a BLAST with me! So please pick me for your TRASH THE DRESS session and you will not be disappointed! :)"

"I've always wanted to do a "trash the dress" wedding photo shoot. I looked at a lot of Google pictures online and I really like the water pictures. I also really like the idea of being able to dry clean my dress. I love my wedding dress and would love the opportunity to the to be able to get back in it again and feel that special feeling every woman has in hers on her special day :) I also would really like to be able to feel " free" in my wedding dress because all wedding day long of course I was worried about getting it dirty, getting it wrinkled or someone stepping on the bottom. Ha! Who cares now."
